The Philippines’ giant home retailer continues to expand its store presence nationwide and successfully mapped out back-to-back store openings in Southern Mindanao and Central Luzon.
Wilcon simultaneously launched its 70th milestone store at Tagum City, Davao del Norte, and 71st store located in San Fernando, Pampanga, on October 15, 2021.
Big home improvement store for Davaoeños
Wilcon Depot Tagum is the company’s 3rd branch in Davao Region. With a total selling area of over 7,000 square meters, the newly-opened store carries the wide product selection that Wilcon offers ranging from Tiles, Sanitarywares, Plumbing, Furniture, Home Interior, Building Materials, Hardware, Electrical, Appliances, and other DIY items.
The store was officially opened during a ribbon-cutting ceremony held in the morning. It was graced by Wilcon Depot AVP for Engineering Nicholas Agbing, AVP for Sales and Operations Ruben Flores, Davao del Norte Provincial Governor Hon. Edwin Jubahib, Tagum City Mayor Hon. Allan L. Rellon, Representative from Vice Mayor’s office Dennis Santos, and Representative from Congressman’s office Atty. Anna Alvarez. Before the ceremony, a video conference with Wilcon Depot President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincochan and SEVP-COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong was held.

Wilcon Depot first entered the Davao Region last 2002 to open Wilcon Depot Matina, Davao, as its first-ever provincial branch. The giant retailer came back in 2019 for the opening of Wilcon Depot Panacan in Davao City.

Store expansion plans
Wilcon Depot has hit a remarkable success in the home construction industry. Wilcon now has 18 branches in Metro Manila and 53 stores in key cities and municipalities of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The company has already opened eight new stores and plans to open at least three more stores by the end of the year in Dauis, Bohol; Calapan, Mindoro; and Malaybalay, Bukidnon.
