Wilcon Depot has teamed with HILTI, a well-known global leader in innovative products and services. The partnership introduces HILTI’s first rental service in the Philippines, only available at Wilcon Depot Balintawak Branch.
The grand launch of Hilti Rental Service took place at the largest Wilcon Depot Branch, Balintawak, celebrating a significant shift in the partnership between two industry giants on March 6, 2024.
Hilti, a world leader in designing and manufacturing state-of-the-art tools, software, and services for the professional construction industry, has been a trade and construction partner of Wilcon since 2018. In a strategic move to enhance customer experience and accessibility to cutting-edge construction technologies, Wilcon Depot solidified its partnership with Hilti earlier this year, inking the biggest collaboration yet after Hilti upgraded its business model—Hilti Rental Services.
The event begins with a ribbon cutting spearheaded by the esteemed executives of the two companies. Ms. Ann Lim, General Manager of Hilti Philippines, delivers a welcome speech, introducing the brand and outlining Wilcon’s role in attending to the building challenges of the customers through “Hilti at Wilcon.” The grand launch showcased the diverse range of tools and equipment available for rent, providing customers with hands-on experience and expert guidance from representatives of Hilti. From breakers to advanced construction machinery, the rental services cater to the needs of professionals bringing expertise to the forefront of the construction industry.
Ms. Ann Lim expresses Hilti’s motivation in launching the first Hilti for rent in the largest Wilcon Depot branch, stating, “We know Wilcon created a strong nationwide brand. And from the different personal engagements I had with Wilcon, I knew that Balintawak was one of the branches that really has the most contractors, tailor-fitted to the market we are targeting.”
The grand launch of “Hilti at Wilcon” marks the first rental shop of Hilti in the Philippines. This deliberate move aims to simplify the building process of the contractors, architects, and engineers by renting Hilti’s premium tools for a maximum of 7 days.
Wilcon Depot’s SEVP & COO, Ms. Rosemarie Bosch Ong, concludes the program with a closing speech. Using a metaphorical lens, she compared the successful collaboration between the two companies to the process of igniting a fire, saying, “It takes two flints to make a fire.” The analogy captures the long history of Hilti Philippines and Wilcon Depot’s mutual efforts in bringing their products easily accessible to the community.
