Responding to the urgent call for action, Wilcon Depot joined hands with the Tzu Chi Foundation through a heartfelt donation for the affected communities of Typhoon Tino.
On November 11, Wilcon Depot President and CEO Lorraine Belo-Cincohan, together with Senior Executive Vice President and COO Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, formally handed over the donation. Receiving the cheque on behalf of Tzu Chi Philippines were Deputy CEO Peggy Sy-Jiang and Partnerships Officer Clifford Co.
Tzu Chi Foundation said that the 300,000 peso donation will be use to boost relief efforts in Cebu. These include provisions and services, such as clean drinking water, sustenance, and other basic necessities, which offer both practical assistance and a sense of hope amid the devastation caused by Typhoon Tino.
Meanwhile, Wilcon Depot branches and employees in Cebu remained resilient despite being affected by the disaster themselves. The company not only implemented appropriate safety measures but also went a step further by donating to support relief operations across Cebu.
