Wilcon Depot is Breaking Boundaries in 2026

Persistent storms, shocking earthquakes, and pressing struggles are flashed in the news every day. Tragedies leave an imprint on anyone, and while people can hold themselves together, it is only a matter of time before burnout, miscommunication, isolation, and the dissolution of teamwork set in.
In 2026, Wilcon chooses grace amidst tremendous challenges. On January 13-15 and 20-21 at the Wilcon Depot Head Office, a venue was opened to foreground this year’s core operations, exemplifying the spirit of “TATAG WILCON: Breaking Boundaries.”

Founder and Chairman Emeritus, Dr. William Belo, gave a warm greeting and message that set out the trajectory of Wilcon this year. “What defines us is not only how far we have come, but how we move forward, meeting challenges head-on, learning from every experience, and emerging stronger each time.” Survival marks the first stage, but resilience and going beyond limits are next. By embodying these qualities, Wilcon Depot remains ready to adapt to the demands of the times.

Wilcon Depot SEVP and COO, Ms. Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, led the main discussion from January 13 – 15. Ms. Rose gave a mindful discussion about the importance of being future-proof to withstand not only external challenges but also inner struggles. She demonstrates the fundamental traits of effective leadership, building on her background from decades of experience in the retail industry. She shared that a people-first approach has always been effective in cultivating trust and reinforcing teamwork. Therefore, she encourages leaders to be curious and empathetic with their members and links this to the entire process of the operations sector. As a final thought, her talk highlighted that fostering an environment of growth and resolving underlying issues avoids corporate downfall. Rather, it builds structure for successful sales and business operations.

On January 20 and 21, Ms. Lorraine Belo-Cincochan took center stage and delivered the main session. As President and CEO, she shared her firsthand perspective as a leader, reflecting on resilience as a guiding principle in times of difficulty—especially when faced with tough decisions across various work processes. She reminded everyone that every effort made each day shapes a person, preparing them to be both future-ready and future-proof. Beyond her keynote, Ms. Lorraine facilitated activities designed to identify the strengths and weaknesses of  support systems. This approach underscored her people-first leadership style, allowing processes to be examined openly while offering practical solutions. As a powerful conclusion, she left participants with three simple affirmations to carry forward: Ako’y Maalaga, Maaasahan, and Mapagkakatiwalaan.

The event was attended by Wilcon Depot executives, managers, employees, and support teams who actively engaged in the activities, while a much larger audience joined and shared the experience online.

Wilcon Depot looks back, not to wallow in the losses, but to look for the silver lining of every setback. Through leveraging the exclusive experience as a retail company and considering the welfare of the workforce behind it, a better effort in improving their state and condition can empower collective progress. Wilcon encourages the growth of each person, ensuring an environment where they can thrive instead of being students with old ways. Wilcon’s core values are reiterated, not only as a statement, but also inspire and serve as a reminder of working with a goal in life.

Tatag Wilcon redefines “Breaking Boundaries” as pivotal to growth. One must not simply endure but rise above situations that no longer serve them—choosing uncomfortable conversations and progress over stagnant familiarity. While many have survived past ordeals, challenges will inevitably come again. For this reason, reframing and examining how to correct or mitigate their impact is a vital step toward becoming future‑proof. Beyond this, it conditions the mind to think outside the box, unlocking creativity, resourcefulness, and sustainable progress that keep operations thriving and responsive to today’s evolving needs.
